Updates on current disruptions affecting Estates and Facilities Management (EFM) services in University buildings, upcoming works which will affect EFM services and recently resolved issues.

Current Maintenance Issues

09/05/2025	Pam Liversidge	The lift in PLB is now back in service, however, will not be serving the Hadfield side. You will not be able to access the Hadfield building this way - the lift is only programmed to serve PLB until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

07/05/25	Arts Tower	Please note that one of the passenger lifts has been taken out of operational use due to an issue encountered this morning. A fault has been logged and an engineer will attend as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience while we endeavour to rectify the issue. Apologies in advance for any disruption or inconvenience .

19/03/2025	20/03/2025	All buildings on central campus	District Heating outage Veolia have informed EFM u they need to undertake emergency corrective maintenance work on the underground pipeline which will affect heating supply all buildings on central campus. Works will commence on Wednesday 19th March at 19.00 hours, resulting in a disruption of heating supply for up to 12 hours. Works are expected to be completed by 07.00hours Thursday 20th March. Please note this is disruption to heating supply only. Normal power will be maintained throughout this period.
