Workshop: Introduction to the EU Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) dataset

Joint CWiPP and CREED Workshop

CWiPP and the Centre for Regional Economic and Enterprise Development (CREED) co-hosted a workshop on the EU Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC dataset) on 24th October 2013. The workshop was given by Dr Álvaro Martínez-Pérezz, and covered an introduction to the dataset (sampling, variables, access, etc.).

The EU-SILC covers 27+ EU countries; 270K individuals from 130K households in repeat cross section; 200K individuals from 100K households in longitudinal section. It therefore offers a rich resource for conducting social science research across different EU countries.

All University of ΢Ȧ staff and student have access to the data by applying through the Interdisciplinary Centre of the Social Sciences (ICoSS).

CREED, the Centre for Regional Economic and Enterprise Development, is a Research Centre in the Management School at the University of ΢Ȧ. More information on CREED is available .
