Amy Woolley

Placements, Employability and External Relationships Manager

Amy Woolley leads on the module Professional Skills Development, ensuring that students are gaining the appropriate skills and knowledge to obtain graduate employment and succeed in their careers.

Amy is the main point of contact for employers and urban studies and planning alumni, in order to support curriculum delivery and to share career insights with students. Amy also ensures that students and the school are kept up to date with the latest industry developments.

As well as coordinating the employer liaison board, Amy organises the placement provision for urban studies and planning and works with our external partners to ensure that students have access to placements throughout the sector.

Dr Berna Keskin

Lecturer and Employability Academic Lead

Dr Berna Keskin plays a leading role in designing and integrating professional skills development into undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.

Eleanor Murphy

Placement, Employability and External Relations (PEER) Officer

Eleanor supports Amy with the Professional Skills Development module at all levels of study, including optional practical workshops around placements, CVs, covering letters, interviews and assessment centres.

As well as organising urban studies and planning careers events, Eleanor supports students to secure work experience opportunities, including supporting students away from the University on a placement year.

Jemma Planche

Placement, Employability and External Relations (PEER) Assistant

Jemma creates and distributes a weekly employability newsletter sent to all urban studies and planning students, highlighting new employability resources, placement/work experience opportunities, job opportunities and events across the school and University.
